I think about this blog every day. I started it to accomplish a few things.
The first thing I wanted to do was to give God the glory for restoring so much to my family and I last year through regaining my health.
The second thing I wanted to do was point people toward Jesus because He has been and always will be my answer.
And the third thing I wanted to do was help someone.
If I can give someone encouragement or help them find hope to get through the day, then it is all worth it. If I can empower someone else to deal with the hard things by sharing my journey, then it’s all worth it. If I can help someone else get free from their circumstances or just get through them, then it’s all worth it.
We are all in this together. I continue to be astounded every day by the beauty and the ugliness of humanity. Many times I think “if only we could all see what God sees”. Then I open the Bible and read about the prophets of Old or the disciples that walked with Jesus every day. I read the story of Jonah and how God spared Nineveh. I read so many stories where God gave another chance instead of judgement. Then I see the wonderful mercy and compassion and love God has offered for everyone. I see the opportunities we all have to know Him. I see what God has always seen. And I have hope again.
